A Long-Awaited Update

A Long-Awaited Update
I have quite a backlog of things that need to be done on this account, and this is definitely the time of year where daily life can tend to take over. But I'm not making excuses anymore - I want to really get this going! :excited:

There are still a good number of people noting us to leave comments on deviant pages - keep them coming! I love seeing you guys showing how much other deviants make a difference to your life - it really brings a smile to my face. =)

I've also received a few notes with nominations for our devious inspirations award - but I need more! Lots and LOTS more! :D If you know of anyone who you feel is deserving of this award, all you need to do is send us a note with their name and why you consider them to be inspiring. Simple as that!

Our next task is up - this one can quite easily be used on a quarterly basis, and I think we can do just that. :D Check out the image link below for more info!

But I want to talk about the major reason I wrote this journal - groups.

As most of you know, groups are getting closer to being released to dA, and so far, this project has been stalling on that fact... Instead of waiting for groups to come in though, I'd like to get this project ahead by telling you guys about what will happen once we change over to a group. And in that way, I hope to get things organized so that when it does come in, moving into your area should be as easy and smooth as it could possibly be.

What's that? Moving into your area? What am I talking about? :giggle: We want to make it possible for you guys to join up in one of three ways - watchers (although if you're reading this, you're probably already one of these), contributors and moderators.

The biggest difference between these three tiers is the amount of control you have over how this group will be operated. It is also different with the responsibilities of each tier.

Hopefully this mini-guide will let you know what you can sign up to do with PI. I know that more than anything, I want you guys to get involved. If you see something here that piques your interest, send us a note, and I will add your name to a list I will be making for each tier.

WATCHERS

:bulletpink: Follow what the project does and contribute via comments and notes
:bulletpink: Even if you don't want to be one of the people on the forefront, we still want you guys to tell us what you're thinking. Do you think we can do something better? Or maybe you have an idea that you think could work, you just aren't quite able (due to time, workload, other commitments) to follow through? This is the tier for you.
:bulletpink: It's very important to remember that just because you are in this group, there is no reason why you can't have as much of a voice as someone who is a contributor or a moderator!

CONTRIBUTORS

:bulletpink: Create collections to submit to Project Inspire
:bulletpink: Be part of making/suggesting things to happen for the project
:bulletpink: You are required to:
- Collect art to inspire others
- Feature deviants
- Contribute to official journal entries
- Think about mini-tasks for our monthly projects, and help enhance/brainstorm the ideas of others
:bulletpink: How watchers differ from contributors is that we want you to see the backroom happenings of the project - and provide input into what could be done better as well as any new ideas for the project

MODERATORS

:bulletpink: Create your own collection on the PI account
:bulletpink: Create journals on the PI account
:bulletpink: Be a major part of what PI is and can become
:bulletpink: You are required to:
- Collect art to inspire others - you will also be given your own collection on the account
- Feature deviants in one of our feature journals
- Post a monthly journal entry about what has inspired you
- Contribute to any of our joint journal entries / news articles
- Be thinking about mini-tasks for our monthly projects
:bulletpink: Please note: As much as I don't want to say this, I feel like I need to be transparent about what is happening - to become a moderator, you will need to prove that you can keep up with PI. By that I mean ensuring that you meet your responsibilities as a Contributor, plus going that little bit further in showing your interest. I can't lie to you guys; if you would like to be a moderator, I need to know that you can do your job properly. So for that reason, I will only be bringing in a small number of people to this tier.

Did you just say 'tl;dr'? If you're interested in taking part in what this group can be - you need to read the entire journal. ;P

Until next time, keep the inspiration coming. It's what this website thrives on!

PS. Go show =umar123 some more love - he's made us another wallpaper!!!

PPS. I'm going to be spending the next week organising and replying to all comments, watches and notes - if you have sent me one, don't worry, I'll be getting to you VERY soon!

Hello there!
I was wondering how do you change the background of the text in for example " Deviously Inspiring Award" and "Current Projects" boxes

I have another account that has a premium account but I don't know how to do this.

thank you in advance
